Bsenjo is a Cameroonian RnB singer, contemporary gospel artist and songwriter based in the
United States. Her full names are Belinda Senjo. She originated from the Northwest Region of
Cameroon precisely from Nso in Bui Division. She was born on August 29th, 1992, in Yaounde,
the center Region of Cameroon. She started music at a very young age of 13.
Bsenjo only realized she was quite gifted and embodied such an extraordinary singing talent mainly as a result of the warm and hearts felt compliments being showered on her every time she sang
somewhere. This went a long way to boost her confidence and equally encouraged her to never
stop singing. As a result, she joined her high school choir and before she could put her feets to the ground, she was made the choir leader.
Senjo also took part in many singing competitions such as the Coca-Cola competitions.
All these paved the way for her first big move in 2010, which was releasing an album. With so much
faith, she thought it will land her a huge fortune and a record deal. Unfortunately for her, it didn’t go so well due to certain difficulties.
In 2010, she released her first album “Stand on your faith” which didn’t go anywhere due to the lack
of publicity and finance. Coupled with the fact that she was still in school. Additionally, she
encountered many challenges from friends and some relatives who tried to discourage and derail her
from pursuing her singing career because according to them, ‘’she was a nobody singing rubbish.”
In 2013, something great happened which completely changed her life for the better. BSenjo won the
American DV Lottery. She recounts it being the most overwhelming feeling ever.
When she arrived the U.S, she did covers of artists who inspired her. Some of these artists included Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Tasha Cobbs and CeCe Winans. She will post these covers on social media, where she had a good number of followers. In 2014, she decided to showcase her talent to the rest of the world by auditioning for America’s Got Talent Competitions. She never made it to the live shows, but this in no way discouraged her.

In 2017, she was relentless and still auditioned for the AGT competition when she heard it was
coming to her city.
It was at this juncture that she felt it was time for her to release her own original song. She released
her first official single ‘’Make A Change’’ in 2016 and her second single ‘’Bone bone man ‘’ in
2017.
At this point she knew she would be happy after at least 2 releases. But deep down, there was a void
in her heart. She sought for God’s presence and guidance. It was at this point that she repented and
gave her life to Christ. She has been away from the music scene for 5 years. Prior to leaving the
music scene, she announced that she will be returning as a gospel artist. She is very determined to use
her voice for God’s glory.
These past 5 years for her has been a season of healing and reconnection with God. She was ready to
conquer the world with the holy armor of Christ. She then released her first official gospel single. video on her birthday August 29th, 2021, titled Risen Lord FT Harlem Gospel Choir. After featuring one of the best and most renown choirs in the world, Harlem gospel choir in her single “risen lord”,
she went on to do a featured song with the legendary Soweto Gospel choir based in South Africa,
which is anticipated to be released on September 15th, 2022.She has always loved Soweto gospel
choir and promised herself that one day she would be singing alongside the legends. And behold, that
dream has finally come to fruition. It is safe to say that her love for Soweto music was inspired by the
fact that she was the leader of her high school and church choir and most of the songs performed
were that of the great Soweto gospel choir.
Bsenjo said. “More than anything I want my music
to be known for its authenticity and for helping people to know and fear God. Everybody
listening to my song should end up being blessed. I want to give people Jesus Christ not
goosebumps. I want them to learn about and appreciate the love of God – and most especially reflect
on how good God has been to us. Every single moment of our lives is because of His mercy and
grace. He will always be there during our dark times and our happy times. So more than anything, I
want my music to inspire people to trust God”.
